Placements manages the end to end employment of contractor and project personnel on both a long-term and short-term basis. LOGISTICS AND PROCUREMENT

Placements provides a wide range of ancillary services to Clients to support their operations and projects across PNG. These services include procurement (local and international sourcing), project consumables supply, equipment purchasing/leasing facilitation, accommodation and transport planning and all associated logistics for remote site resources projects.

CORROSION CONTROL AND INDUSTRIAL COATINGS

Placements has been running a Corrosion Control Contract on Lihir Island since award in 2005. Our team is made up of 16 specialist personnel including a NACE Certified Coating Inspector and are qualified to run any corrosion control contract ranging from underground pipe wrapping to bi-carb blasting.

Personnel are experienced with:

• Surface tolerant coatings.
• Working in oil and gas live plants/refineries.
• Permit to Work systems in high explosive work areas.
• Commissioning of refineries.
• Applications of a wide variety of high performance coatings.

ONSITE CIVIL AND FABRICATION SERVICES

Placements provides civil construction services to the resource sector with scopes of work including:

• General civil, construction and maintenance activities including construction of camps, housing estates, commercial builds and workshops through to civil works including crushers, conveyors, tanks and the construction of sea dumps and barge/wharf maintenance.
• Construction of mining infrastructure including pebble crusher and conveyor civils, autoclave preheat foundations and the supervision of the final installation.
• Foundations and pipelines for geothermal 6MW power house and construction of precast concrete well cellars and weir boxes.
• Equipment hire.

Placements provides civil construction services to the resource sector with scopes of work including:

• Repairing structural steel pipe racks (cutting out rust and welding up) prior to painting.
• Tanks - repairing floor plates before blasting and rubber lining.
• Fabrication and maintenance of sheet piles for the construction of wharf facilities.
• Fabrication of pipe stands for field pipelines.

PROCESS PLANTS INTERNATIONAL

The Joint Venture between Placements and Process Plants International was formed in 2010 as a specialist service provider to the minerals processing industry. Placements PPi was awarded a Master Agreement to provide plant maintenance Managed Services comprising a multi-disciplinary international experienced team (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Welding and Project Management) executing process plant enhancement services and shutdown maintenance for the Autoclaves and associated process plant.

Projects have included:

• Lihir Island Autoclave Maintenance Shutdowns for Newcrest Mining Limited, Papua New Guinea (US$10 million 2015-2016)
• Lihir Island Commissioning of Autoclaves and associated Process Plant on Million Ounce Plant Upgrade for Newcrest Mining Limited, Papua New Guinea
• Lihir Island post MOPU Project Process Plant Optimisation for Newcrest Mining Limited, Papua New Guinea (US$4 million 2013)
• Lihir Island Projects Execution Team for Newcrest Mining Limited, Papua New Guinea (US$6 million 2014-2015)
